Alexis Oliver Turla is a bureaucratic activist with over 20 years of government and public policy experience. She currently serves as Chief of Staff to Seattle Councilmember Tammy Morales. She started her public policy journey with the Missouri Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice and Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Alexis served as Executive Policy Advisor to Washington Governor Chris Gregoire, as Director of the Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise, and as Government Affairs Director for Forterra. In her personal life, she dedicates her time to get more women of color elected to office as Diversity Co-Chair for National Women’s Political Caucus of Washington.
Born and raised in Seattle, Melissa is deeply committed to working towards fully representative and effective leaders at every level of government. In addition to founding and fundraising for Persist PAC, she has served on the Boards of League of Women Voters Seattle King County, Emerge Washington and King County Democrats. Professionally, she is a co-founder and COO of a small business, Health Rosetta, which provides education and services to employers who want to cost-effectively offer better health benefits.
Crystal Fincher is the Principal of Fincher Consulting, LLC, a full service political consulting firm. Crystal has helped local, legislative and statewide candidate campaigns, levies, and initiatives win in Washington, California, Nevada. Fincher Consulting has helped advocacy organizations and local political organizations develop and deploy successful strategies to increase community representation, inclusion, engagement and turnout, particularly in underrepresented areas and among infrequent voters. Crystal is also a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. Crystal hosts Hacks & Wonks on KVRU 105.7FM and resides in Kent, WA.
